Position Summary

The Crack Fill / Seal Coat Crew Laborer supports asphalt maintenance operations by assisting with crack filling, seal coating, and surface preparation on roadways, parking lots, and paved surfaces. This role involves manual labor, equipment operation, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with crack filling, seal coating, striping prep, and asphalt maintenance tasks
• Load, unload, and prepare materials such as sealant, crack filler, sand, and tools
• Operate basic equipment including blowers, squeegees, spray wands, melters, and hand tools
• Clean and prepare asphalt surfaces prior to application
• Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times
• Follow safety procedures, including PPE requirements
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment
• Support crew members and supervisors with additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior asphalt, construction, or labor experience a plus (not required)
• Ability to perform physical labor including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods
• Ability to work outdoors in hot, cold, and dusty conditions
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to follow instructions
• Valid driver’s license preferred

• Outdoor construction sites
• Exposure to weather, asphalt materials, fumes, and traffic
• Early mornings, long hours, and occasional weekends as required
